Ribbon curtains, easy enough, right? I was on it. The curtains in my living room were boring enough, it was time to jazz them up-on a budget. So, I went to Joanne's and purchased 5 rolls of white ribbon and stitch witchery that was about the same width as the ribbon.
Here is my living room with the plain jane blue curtains before this project:
Step 1: Get all supplies: ribbon, curtain, stitch witchery, iron set as directed by the witchery, damp towel, and pins.
Step 2: Lay out curtain flat and pin ribbon onto the curtain in the desired pattern.
Step 3: Iron the ribbon on as directed by the stitch witchery.
Step 4: Rehang curtians-step back and admire your work.
This curtain project was very easy considering it was no-sew but did take several hours to complete all 4 curtains. I'm pretty happy with the finished product too, so all round, it is a winner!
Cost break-down:
Curtains: I already had so, $0
Ribbon: 5 spools at $3.99 each ($19.95)
Stitch Witchery: 2 of them at $2.99 each ($5.98)
TOTAL for all 4 curtains to get a make over = about $26 or $6.50 each. Nice.
